Conversational Memory Infrastructure

Patent Pending — a system for creating, preserving, verifying, linking, and retrieving conversational memory derived from human conversations.

Conversations Become Organizational Memory

Six months after an important meeting, someone asks: what exactly did we decide, and why? The recording exists. The notes exist. But the answer is gone. Utteranz was built to make sure that never happens.

The Problem

Organizations Lose Knowledge Every Day

Meetings happen. Lectures happen. Interviews happen. Consultations happen. But valuable knowledge often disappears once the conversation ends.

Forgotten decisions

Critical decisions made in meetings dissolve the moment the call ends, leaving no auditable trail.

Lost context

The reasoning behind a conclusion disappears, making it impossible to reconstruct why something was decided.

Staff turnover

Institutional knowledge walks out the door with every departing employee, consultant, or researcher.

Knowledge silos

Departments, teams, and individuals each hold a fragment of the conversation with no shared surface.

Repeated work

Teams re-litigate decisions that were already settled, because the prior discussion was never retained.

Broken continuity

New conversations ignore earlier ones, so projects restart from zero instead of building forward.

Institutional memory erodes silently. Utteranz rebuilds it from the conversations that already happen.

How Utteranz Works

The Memory Pipeline

Every conversation passes through a deterministic pipeline that turns raw speech into retrievable institutional memory.

Conversation Capture

Live or recorded discussion captured.

Source Preservation

Original audio and metadata preserved.

Transcription

Multilingual speech to structured text.

Interpretation

Intent, meaning, and rhythm extracted.

Discussion Reconstruction

Threads reassembled into flow.

Memory Creation

Knowledge units stored with metadata.

Continuity Detection

Historical discussions reconnected.

Verification

Every memory linked to its source.

Knowledge Retrieval

Searchable across the institution.

Each stage is deterministic and traceable — every memory link, summary, and action item can be traced back to its originating conversation.

Beyond Transcription

Beyond Recording. Beyond Summarization.

Utteranz is not a note-taker. It is an infrastructure layer that turns spoken dialogue into structured, retrievable institutional memory.

Multilingual Transcripts

Native-quality capture across languages.

Discussion Records

Faithful, attributable dialogue logs.

Structured Minutes of Meeting

Auto-structured, decision-ready MoM.

Discussion Flow Documentation

How the conversation actually evolved.

Action Items

Tracked owners, deadlines, status.

Follow-Ups

Continuity across future conversations.

Audio Briefs

Compressed spoken summaries.

Historical Continuity

Linked threads across time.

Source Traceability

Every memory linked to its origin.

Discussion Intelligence

Understanding Meaning, Not Just Words

Utteranz reconstructs the intent, rhythm, and emotional arc of a conversation — preserving what was actually meant, not just what was said.

What Utteranz extracts beyond the words

Intent Preservation

The premise is framed humorously to test group reaction before any commitment — preserved without being labelled.

Conversational Rhythm

Setup → misdirection → reveal structure documented as Discussion Flow.

Emotional Tone

Half-serious proposal masked as jest — tonal ambiguity captured and attributed.

Discussion Flow

Full conversation arc reconstructed: opening premise → divergence → synthesis.

Utteranz preserved humor, conversational rhythm, and emotional intent without being told it was comedy. It correctly parsed the dynamic of a Kapil Sharma discussion without any prior labeling.

Context Continuity

Conversations Remember Previous Conversations

Utteranz automatically identifies related historical discussions and reconnects them to current conversations.

Project continuity

Every project carries its full discussion history forward.

Knowledge continuity

Decisions stay linked to their original reasoning.

Team continuity

New members inherit prior context instantly.

Institutional memory

The organization retains what individuals forget.

Every new conversation is checked against the full historical corpus — if a related thread exists, it's reconnected automatically.

Organizational Memory

Searchable Organizational Memory

Every conversation contributes to a growing organizational memory repository — searchable, retrievable, and traceable.

Data Sovereignty & Deployment Control

Data Sovereignty & Deployment Control

Your organizational memory remains under your control.

Utteranz is designed for institutions that require control over their data, infrastructure, and knowledge assets.

Unlike platforms that depend on vendor-controlled storage and opaque data movement, Utteranz supports deployment models aligned with institutional governance requirements.

Local-First Architecture

Conversation records, transcripts, memory repositories, and generated outputs can remain within infrastructure controlled by the institution.

Data Localization

Organizations can choose where conversational records and memory assets are stored to align with regulatory, organizational, and jurisdictional requirements.

Deployment Flexibility

Cloud, private cloud, on-premise, or institution-managed environments.

Data Sovereignty

Institutional knowledge remains an institutional asset, not a vendor asset.

Institutional Control

Organizations retain control over retention policies, access controls, governance requirements, archival strategies, and historical knowledge assets.

Architecture Ownership

The organizational memory architecture, continuity framework, governance controls, and knowledge repository remain native capabilities of Utteranz. Processing technologies may evolve over time while institutional memory remains preserved within the Utteranz platform.

Organizational memory should remain under organizational control.

Utteranz is designed with that principle from the beginning.

Industries

Engineered for High-Stakes Environments

Utteranz serves institutions where knowledge continuity, traceability, and governance are not optional.

Education & Research

Lectures, seminars, scholarly discourse.

Founder Biography

The Architect

Kalyan Saikia — Founder of Utteranz
Founder & Architect

Kalyan Saikia

Kalyan Saikia is the Founder and Architect of Utteranz, independently conceived, designed, and built in Guwahati, Assam. His career spans 28 years across India, Afghanistan, the UAE, and the United States — beginning in 1996 as a Senior Faculty Member at NIIT Guwahati, where he trained the first generation of computer professionals in Assam. That same year, he was recognised by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council as a Resource Person for training +2 level teachers at the Academic Staff College, Gauhati University. From 2008 to 2012, he served as Customer Support Manager for IO Global Services at Forward Operating Base Salerno in Khost Province, Afghanistan — managing satellite broadband infrastructure supporting over 3,000 US military and civilian personnel in active combat operations. His contribution was formally recognised by the US Department of the Army through a Certificate of Appreciation from the 101st Airborne Division and a Memorandum for Record from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team. He subsequently held senior technology leadership roles at E2open Bengaluru — a global supply chain technology company — Bomisco Inc., a US-based technology firm, and across enterprise and government environments in India and the UAE, spanning global service desk operations, IT infrastructure leadership, government program execution, and multi-entity technology governance. Utteranz was built from that experience — 28 years of understanding what happens when critical information is not preserved, when institutional knowledge walks out the door, and when the record of what was said and decided cannot be verified. The platform was built entirely without external funding, institutional sponsorship, or organisational backing. Every line of code, every rupee of infrastructure, every architectural decision was made and sustained by one person, in Assam.
